black and white (they had a fight)

i just scrawled this in class the other day...i dont know if i like it at all...because usually i dont like these turn of the century rhyme scheme poems, but here i think it compliments what i am trying to say. oh well, here goes...let me know what you think and i always welcomd suggestions for improvement or otherwise : )

black and white were walking
along the street one day
the two began to argue
and black started to say;

"truth and lies are all the same
there is no difference there;
for those who tell the lies believe
they're truths, both right and fair"

white was silent, deep in thought
walking slowly by black's side
when black decided that he'd wne
white cleared his throat and tried,

"truth and lies are much the same
you may think that is true
but i know they are as different
as, well....as me and you...

liars think they tell the truth
and true men often lie
but the difference is the intention
of the "lying" guy

for if a truth that is a lie
is spoken with good heart
its good intention overrides
the result of that black art

but if a man puts forth a lie
presented as fair truth
the expected good of truth lies dead
as one deprived of youth

therefore, intent of what is said
means more than what comes out
take not to heart what people say
but their actions, never doubt."

black was quiet, thinking hard
and suddenly looked glum
for with understanding,
he realized white had won.
